For our field office located in Merksem (see the map here) we’re looking for an Electromechanical Technician (m/f/x).

The Grid Department is responsible for managing Fluxys Belgium's transmission system, ensuring the supply of gas to end users at all times and guaranteeing the safety of facilities, the environment and employees. More specifically, the department's work encompasses the inspection, operation and maintenance of the pipeline network and associated facilities, such as valve junctions and pressure-reducing stations. The Grid Department is divided into five geographical areas, with a central entity providing technical and administrative support.

Your
respon­sibilities

• After undergoing intensive training, where you will learn about the entire network and the facilities in the area, you will join the team responsible for the day-to-day management and maintenance of our pressure-reducing stations
• You will carry out repairs and maintenance work on these stations and will draw up the appropriate reports
• You will record the operating data concerning our facilities
• You will ensure the safety of our facilities and employees

About
you

• An A2 diploma in electromechanics or equivalent
• Some experience in the maintenance of technical facilities
• Dynamism and a keen desire to learn
• An ability to work independently, combined with a disciplined and technical mind
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
• Fluent Dutch and a satisfactory knowledge of French and English

Additionally, this role requires:

• You are willing to be on call and on standby
• You live within 30 minutes of our Merksem office
• You have a category B driving licence
